Michael’s Wicked Good Waffles
Elanagh, Sarah & I experimented for months! These freeze very well and are great with ground-up pecans.Ed (08.05.2019): After years of continuing to experiment we've settled on this recipe as simple and affective. Nothing special. Just a classic and simple recipe.
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1-1/2 cups milk warm
- 1/3 cup butter melted
- 2 egg
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, salt, baking powder and sugar; set aside. Preheat waffle iron to desired temperature.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Stir in the milk, butter and vanilla. Pour the milk mixture into
the flour mixture; beat until blended.
- Ladle the batter into a preheated waffle iron. Cook the waffles until golden and crisp. Serve immediately.
