Mushroom Pate


1 lb. Mushrooms, quartered (may use wild mushrooms for a different taste)
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon garlic salt
2 teaspoons seasoned pepper
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cream cheese


Sauté mushrooms until liquid is absorbed (5 to 10 minutes). Cool to room temperature. In food processor, add mushrooms, cream cheese, salt and pepper. Blend until smooth. Put in pan lined with greased foil. Cover and refrigerate. Unmold on platter and serve with crackers.
