Marinated Steak with Horseradish Sauce
Ingredients
Marinade:
1 cup soy sauce
¼ cup gin
½ cup oil
2 crushed garlic cloves
Horseradish sauce:
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup mayonnaise
Pinch of salt
¼ cup horseradish, or to taste
Instructions
Combine marinade ingredients and pour over roast which has been placed in a Pyrex dish. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate in refrigerator 24 to 48 hours, turning roast 3 or 4 times. Remove meat from marinade. Towel dry and roast at 350°f. for 1 hour. Use meat thermometer and cook to medium rare. Cool immediately in refrigerator. Slice very thin for small sandwiches. Serve with Parker House rolls and Horseradish sauce.
Horseradish Sauce: Whip cream until soft peaks form. Beat in mayonnaise and salt until well mixed. Thoroughly blend in horseradish with spoon. For lighter sauce, omit the mayonnaise.
Notes: Yield: 30-40 servings
